About Mike
Who is Mike O?
Mike O is a keynote speaker on leadership, resilience and human performance, and the founder of the TPR framework: Thrive, Pursue, Respond. He speaks to schools and organisations.
What is the story behind the message?
Mike has faced childhood leukaemia, personal loss and professional setbacks. He understands pressure first-hand, and that experience shapes how he speaks about turning challenge into growth.
How is this different from a motivational talk?
A message that moves, and a framework that stays. Mike gives audiences more than a moment of inspiration: he gives them three steps they can keep using when pressure returns.
Where can I see Mike speak?
On the media page: keynote highlights, school talks, a recommendation and clips from The Process Revealed podcast, all from Mike's official YouTube channel (opens in a new tab).
The TPR framework
What does TPR stand for?
TPR stands for Thrive, Pursue, Respond. It is a human performance framework by Mike O. Thrive is the ground and builds internal stability. Pursue is the climb and builds intentional movement. Respond is the arrival and builds aligned decisions.
What does “navigate well, not just perform well” mean?
Performing well is about output. Navigating well is about knowing where you are, where you are going, what matters, how to decide, how to respond under pressure and how to keep going, so that results last.
What problem does the TPR framework solve?
It starts with the problem people recognise. For many people that is anxiety, comparison, low self-worth or confusion around identity; ambition without direction, vision or systems; or decisions made under pressure, uncertainty, change and conflict. Each step of the framework answers one of these.
Is TPR only for students?
No. Mike brings the framework to schools, colleges and universities, and to teams and organisations. The three steps stay the same and the examples change with the room.
How does Mike bring TPR into a room?
Through storytelling and practical performance frameworks, in keynotes, assemblies and workshops. Audiences leave with a map they can keep using, not only a moment of inspiration.
Events and sessions
What kinds of events does Mike speak at?
Keynotes, assemblies and talks, workshops and full-day programmes for schools, colleges, universities, teams and organisations. Conferences and multi-day events are arranged on request.
How long is a session?
An assembly or talk runs 45 to 60 minutes. A workshop can fill a half day, and a full day can hold several talks or workshops across the day. Custom lengths are available for conferences and multi-day events.
Booking Mike
What does Mike need to know before an event?
The date, time and address, the size and age group of the audience, the objectives or themes you want covered, the technical set-up available, any arrival or safeguarding protocols, and whether photos or short video clips may be taken.
Does the enquiry commit us to a booking?
The enquiry form begins the booking process. Mike's team replies with availability and next steps, and a formal agreement follows before anything is confirmed.
Can we talk before sending the full enquiry?
Yes. You can email mike@tprmikeo.com, or request a 15-minute strategy call and Mike's team arranges a time. You can also request the TPR speaker kit.
Let's navigate it well.
Tell Mike about your event. The enquiry asks for the date, audience, objectives and budget, so his team can reply with availability and next steps.
